Settings

There are a few settings in Inkspell. Most of them are inside the book. Elinor's house is the place where Orpheus held Elinor and Darius captive with the help of the "Wardrobe Man". Argenta is the land which the Adderhead rules. He hangs any strolling players who venture there. This is the place in which the Bluejay is held captive, along with Resa and many other prisoners. The Wayless Wood is a place which there are many wild animals, including fairies, fire elves, water nymphs, etc. This is where Orpheus read Dustfinger to on page 16. It is also a main hiding spot for strolling players and refugees because the woods are very dense and confusing. Adderhead claims that he rules this land, although it isn't heavily guarded like most of his land. The last setting in this book is Ombra. The land in which the Laughing Prince ruled is Ombra. After the Laughing Prince's son died, he became very depressed and caused Fenoglio to make up a new Cosimo to rule. This plan did not work so well because Cosimo then died. Before Cosimo died, Ombra was like the United States, "The land of the free and the home of the brave."
